Open chords are the most basic chords and nobody could call themselves even a beginner guitar player without knowing these chords ! Take them slow if you are starting out , don't be in a hurry .
Just because they are first up doesn't mean they will be easy .
All these chords are absolutely essential !
In-fact if this is your first time holding guitar , I would recommend you to start with exercises provided in the exercises column , they will help you get use to the guitar fretboard and eventually help you in easily learning these chords .

E Major Open chord

A bit difficult , will require some work .

A good easy to play chord, just watch out that you don't hit the 5th or 6th strings
